آپکے بس کا نہیں مان لیجیئے

دوست و دشمن یار و احباب۔

کسی سے نہ کوئی احساں لیجیئے

پھر نہ لوٹ جایئے اس طرف جانب۔

جہاں نہ جانے کی گر ٹھان لیجیئے۔

دل کا پیمانہ لبریز ہوا جاتا ھے۔۔

صبر کا اپنے نہ مزید امتحان لیجیئے۔

ما سوا نا چیز نہیں کوئی وفادار تیرا۔

زمانے کی چھوڑیئے ہماری مان لیجیئے

دکھ درد میں ہمیشہ نکالے تمہارے خط

اور مل گئی خوشی تو اچھالے تمہارے خط

سب چوڑیاں تمہاری سمندر کو سونپ دیں

اور کر دیے ہوا کے حوالے تمہارے خط

میرے لہو میں گونج رہا ہے ہر ایک لفظ

میں نے رگوں کے دشت میں پالے تمہارے خط

یوں تو ہیں بے شمار وفا کی نشانیاں

لیکن ہر ایک شے سے نرالے تمہارے خط

جیسے ہو عمر بھر کا اثاثہ غریب کا

کچھ اس طرح سے میں نے سنبھالے تمہارے خط

اہل ہنر کو مجھ پہ وصیؔ اعتراض ہے

میں نے جو اپنے شعر میں ڈھالے تمہارے خط

پروا مجھے نہیں ہے کسی چاند کی وصیؔ

ظلمت کے دشت میں ہیں اجالے تمہارے خط

آئنہ سامنے رکھو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

آئنہ سامنے رکھو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

اپنی زلفوں کو سنوارو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

رنگ کیسا ہو یہ سوچو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

جب نیا سوٹ خریدو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

بھول جانا مجھے آسان نہیں ہے اتنا

جب مجھے بھولنا چاہو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

دھیان جائے گا بہرحال مری ہی جانب

تم جو پوجا میں بھی بیٹھو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

ایک دن بھیگے تھے برسات میں ہم تم دونوں

اب جو برسات میں بھیگو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

چاندنی رات میں پھولوں کی سہانی رت میں

جب کبھی سیر کو نکلو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

جن میں مل جاتے تھے ہم تم کبھی آتے جاتے

جب بھی ان گلیوں سے گزرو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

یاد آؤں گا اداسی کی جو رت آئے گی

جب کوئی جشن مناؤ گے تو یاد آؤں گا

شیلف میں رکھی ہوئی اپنی کتابوں میں سے

کوئی دیوان اٹھاؤ گے تو یاد آؤں گا

شمع کی لو پہ سر شام سلگتے جلتے

کسی پروانے کو دیکھو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

جب کسی پھول پہ غش ہوتی ہوئی بلبل کو

صحن گلزار میں دیکھو گے تو یاد آؤں گا

گو ذرا سی بات پر برسوں کے یارانے گئے

لیکن اتنا تو ہوا کچھ لوگ پہچانے گئے

گرمئ محفل فقط اک نعرۂ مستانہ ہے

اور وہ خوش ہیں کہ اس محفل سے دیوانے گئے

میں اسے شہرت کہوں یا اپنی رسوائی کہوں

مجھ سے پہلے اس گلی میں میرے افسانے گئے

وحشتیں کچھ اس طرح اپنا مقدر بن گئیں

ہم جہاں پہنچے ہمارے ساتھ ویرانے گئے

یوں تو وہ میری رگ جاں سے بھی تھے نزدیک تر

آنسوؤں کی دھند میں لیکن نہ پہچانے گئے

اب بھی ان یادوں کی خوشبو ذہن میں محفوظ ہے

بارہا ہم جن سے گلزاروں کو مہکانے گئے

کیا قیامت ہے کہ خاطرؔ کشتۂ شب تھے بھی ہم

صبح بھی آئی تو مجرم ہم ہی گردانے گئے

ہونا نہیں اب اس نے مہربان چھوڑدے

کتنی اُٹھائیں ہم نے مشقت تیرے لیے

جس کو کوئی بھی عشق کے دوران چھوڑدے

تم اتنے دل فریب نہیں اتفاق سے

کہ کوئی تم کو دیکھ کر ایمان چھوڑدے

تم سے نہ چل سکے گا محبت کا کاروبار

اے دوست! کرائے کی ہے دوکان چھوڑ دے

کیوں سگریٹوں سے جی کو جلاتے ہو آج تک

اس میں صحت کاہے تیری نقصان چھوڑدے

گر دیکھنی ہو ہجر میں جاں بازیاں میری

میرے لیے تُو کھلا آسمان چھوڑدے

میری رضا سے آج الگ مجھ سے ہوگیا

پھر اس کی طلب اے دلِ نادان چھوڑدے

جس کی متاعِ زیست فقط تیری ذات ہو

کیا اُس کو یونہی بے سروسامان چھوڑدے؟

ہم تیرا انتظار بھی کرلیں گے عمر بھر

ہم وہ نہیں جو بیچ میں میدان چھوڑدے

میں اتنی شدتوں سے تجھے یاد آؤں گا

ممکن ہے کہ تُو صبر کا دامان چھوڑدے
