بتا کبھی بھی جمال آیا نہیں کبھی بھی

وہ مجھ سے پہلے سا پیار مانگے نہ اب ملے گا

کہ وشمہ ؔ ماضی کو حال آیا نہیں کبھی بھی

سب کچھ تو دے دیا ھے تیرے اختیار میں

پاس اب اپنے کچھ نہیں پلے سرکار میں۔

ایک ناقص وجود ہوں میں نا ابکار سا۔

ہنوز نجانے کیا ڈھونڈھتے ہو مجسم بیکار میں ؟

کہتے ہو تیرے بغیر زندگی زندگی نہیں۔۔۔

آہ ! کتنا تضاد رکھتے ہو قول و قرار میں۔۔

کیا ہی صبر آزماتے ہو تم اپنے پیار میں۔۔۔

دیکھو ! کہیں کمی نہ آ جائے اعتبار میں۔

دل ! جا بجا ڈھونڈھتا ھے یار تیری صورت ۔

نہیں معلوم چھپے ہو کہاں کس آئینہدار میں؟

کیا ہی زمانے ظالم نے آگ لگائی باہم ۔۔

کہ تو بھی رویا زارو زار اور ہوا اشکبار میں

راس آئی نہ تُمہیں بات جو شائستہ کہی

پِھر تو کرنا ہی پڑا ہم کو خِطاب اور کوئی

دِل میں اعادہ کیا اور ہی مشقوں کا مگر

کُھل گئے ہم پہ مُحبّت میں ہی باب اور کوئی

ہم کہاں اور کہاں ساقئِ محفِل کی نظر؟؟

تم نے دیکھا ہے جِسے ہو گا جناب! اور کوئی

کر کے اعمال بھی ہاتھ اپنے رہے ہیں خالی

ڈھوئے جاتا ہے گُنہ اور ثواب اور کوئی

ہم نے وہ فصل بھی کاٹی ہے جو بوئی ہی نہ تھی

آئے حِصّے میں اپنے عذاب اور کوئی

مُنہ پھیر گئے وقت بُرا دیکھتے ہوئے

بوسِیدہ ہو کے چاک ہوئی ہے جگہ جگہ

مزدُور کے جو تن پہ قبا، دیکھتے ہوئے

بھائی کی یاد آئی ہے بے ساختگی کے ساتھ

بیریں کا پیڑ گھر میں لگا دیکھتے ہوئے

لوٹ آ تو مِرے دوست ترے بعد تِری بزم

نمناک ہوئی آنکھ سجا دیکھتے ہوئے

اللہ کا تُو شُکر ادا کر کہ نہیں ہے

تذلِیل نہ کر، اُس کو گدا دیکھتے ہوئے

بیٹی جو کہہ دیا ہے تُجھے، دل سے کہہ دیا
